Bride History in Poland
A conventional Polish marriage used to be a three or yet four evening encounter. Frequently, it was held outside in flowers, trees and stables http://projectbritain.com/valentine.htm. They were a celebration of life and the wealth of essence. Today, however, many couples choose to omit the chapel and simply have a ceremony in their house or backyard with close family and friends. They still enjoy the wonderful food, music and vodka but it’s not quite what it once was.
On the evening of the marriage, just before midnight ( or around it if a one- time wedding), comes the famous meeting known as “oczepiny”, the opening of the bride. At this point, the veil is removed and she dons her czepek – a cover worn by Polish maidens to reflect their standing as committed females. This is also when the much tresses are unbraided and cut little, as a symbol of her hot polish girl move from girlhood to woman.
As the few leave the church, guests wash them with coins and grains, to supply them luck and prosperity. They subsequently change into their celebration clothes. It is also traditional to throw tiny, spherical coins into the couple’s tresses– whoever collects the most will get in charge of their finances.
The party begins, and you’ll discover a lot of dancing going on. Poles assume that this reduces the side effects of too much drinking. There will be a lot of food also, including lots of different types of sweets, desserts and ice cream.
